Founded in 1998 as the Cotati Philharmonic, American Philharmonic-Sonoma County has become the largest professional-level volunteer orchestra in the Bay Area.
Based at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, American Philharmonic does not charge admission to its concerts and is supported entirely by donations and grants.
The organization's mission is to make the beauty of music and the power of community alive and available for everyone.
American Philharmonic has commissioned several world premiers, featured world-class soloists including pianist Stephen Prutsman, bassoonist George Sakakeeny, and violinist Joshua Weilerstein, and has performed an impressive gamut of the symphonic repertoire. Join us!
Music Director: Gabriel Sakakeeny
