The BlueBarrel Rainwater Catchment System is reliable, flexible, space efficient and cost-effective. Made from a series of repurposed 55-gallon drums (an intercepted industrial waste stream!), barrels are daisy-chained together for maximum efficiency of flow and no limit to the amount of storage capacity you can install. Unlike other daisy chained solutions, the BlueBarrel System design has a streamlined look, and allows the barrels to function as one larger tank for easy use and refilling.

BlueBarrel also offers general consulting services related to rainwater harvesting.

**8-Barrel System at Healdsburg High School** : The construction classes at HHS built this system for their school garden. A sunken bio-swale (under construction in the foreground) collects their overflow to recharge groundwater. Good job students!

**9-Barrel System, Sebastopol** : If you think you can't see it - that's because you can't! This 9-barrel system is hidden under the deck behind the lattice. Look closely to see the spigot sticking out from the lattice. This is one of two BlueBarrel Systems at this site - there is a 10-barrel system lined up neatly along the side of the house as well (depicted separately).

**10-Barrel System, Sebastopol** : This system has an elevated spigot on one end for bucket filling, and a ground-level hose connection at the other. This is one of two systems at this residence--they have another 9 barrels installed under their deck!

**12-Barrel System, Santa Rosa** : This system collects from 400 square feet of rooftop surface and all 12 barrels (770 gallons!) fill with a mere 3" of rain. It irrigates the edible front yard by gravity fed drip irrigation. An elevated spigot at the opposite end of the system (in the pic) allows for bucket filling.

**BlueBarrel HydroCycle Graphic** : When you harvest rainwater and use it on-site for garden irrigation, you are restoring the broken link in our urban hydrologic cycle by infiltrating water that would otherwise sheet off our hardscapes and become polluted runoff.

**42-Barrel System, Santa Rosa** : At 42 barrels and nearly 2,500 gallons, this is our largest BlueBarrel System to date. It collects from only 2 household downspouts and will fill with under 4" of rain to meet this avid gardener's year-round irrigation need for her vegetables.

**8 Barrel System, Santa Rosa** : A black BlueBarrel System? Why not! Our recycled food-grade barrels always start blue, but they can be painted or screened to your taste! This customer did two rows of four barrels instead of one long row of eight -- a testament to the flexibility of our design.

**4 Barrel System, Healdsburg** : This four-barrel system has since upped and moved to Guerneville. It was installed by a renter, and when she moved, she took her BlueBarrel System along with no damage to her landlord's property. Our unique design can be disassembled, moved, and reassembled, no problem!

**6 Barrel System, Fulton** : This site is home to three BlueBarrel Systems! Two separate 6-barrel systems serve a side yard with no other water source. A 2-barrel system on the other side of the house is used mostly for hand-watering, windshield defrosting, and keeping the pet bowls full. 14 barrels in total - not bad!

**14 Barrel System at a Santa Rosa School** : This system was built by the 7th and 8th grade science classes at the Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts. Grant funding came from PG&E's Bright Ideas program, and our course included two classroom lessons with BlueBarrel, and a full-day installation workshop. Well done students!

**12 Barrel System, Windsor** : This system was built in one of our hands-on installation workshops. We partner with homeowner clients who are willing to open their homes to registered participants in exchange for free installation. It's a win-win-win!
