About Kid Scoop News

Kid Scoop News is a monthly tabloid newspaper for students in grades 2 through 8. Each month the newspaper explores timely topics, promotes health and fitness, teachers financial literacy, and showcases student writing and artwork. Each month it is packed with pencil-grabbing games, puzzles and brain teasers that grab young readers attention and keep it. What’s in Kid Scoop News

Each month Kid Scoop News offers reading materials that attracts even reluctant readers!

  • Local articles often written by students
  • Content that provides students extended practice with core curriculum vocabulary and concepts
  • Opportunities for students to be published
  • Puzzles and games that develop vocabulary, fine motor skills, critical thinking and more.

All content complements and supplements core curriculum—providing students with a FUN way to keep practicing and using core concepts and vocabulary. This ongoing practice and review promotes retention and success in learning. Family Involvement

We include educational activities that promote family involvement in learning. Each month there is a calendar with an idea a day for families to do something together that is fun and educational.

Kid Scoop News makes great supplemental reading to promote students reading at home. It’s pencil-grabbing activities make the home reading time feel like fun, but once the pages have a student’s attention they start reading and become involved with the printed word. How can I get Kid Scoop News?
