When my sister's macbook hard drive appeared to be failing, I recommended she take it to the Apple Store for hard drive replacement or repair. The Genius Bar couldn't recover the data from her hard drive and recommended MacAdvantage Apple Computer Repair. MacAdvantage was only about a 15-20 minute drive from the Apple Store. Turns out that drive was one of the best 20 minutes she ever spent, since the tech at MacAdvantage recovered all the photos, music, writings and videos that Apple couldn't. It took MacAdvantage less than 24 hours and the price was a fraction of data recovery here in L.A. for sure. MacAdvantage even gifted her a GoLocal card to boot.

Tam has maintained our macs for over 10 years now, since at least 2002. He is not only an expert with Apple products, he is an authentic & genuine person. Tam is direct, honest and sincere. He never tries to upsell us products we don't need, and always solves our quirky industry related issues. I can not recommend him and his talented & very likable team highly enough.

The Apple Store in Santa Rosa accidentally erased all my data during a warranty repair. They recommended I call Tam at the Mac Advantage. I called, frantic while still in the Apple Store, and the receptionist's patience and confidence instantly calmed me. Walking up to the door of Mac Advantage, fragrant plants further soothed my senses, and inside, despite there being 3 or 4 clients in the small lobby, a calm, friendly atmosphere pervaded. I left feeling I was in very good hands, and confident my damaged hard drive would be handled with the utmost care & expertise. Within 48 hours of drop off, I received a call that all my data had been recovered, and for even less than I'd originally been quoted!!

I write a tech blog and have followed (and had mac repair done by) Mac Advantage for 15 years. When I'm traveling, Tam connects to my mac remotely to do repairs or demo how to do something in Adobe Photoshop, etc) I worked briefly at the Apple Store in Santa Rosa and Apple geniuses at the Apple Store always recommended working with Apple Certified Mac Technicians at MacAdvantage when data recovery was needed or someone had water damage or needed other mac repair that the Apple Store wasn't capable of doing. Tam of The Mac Advantage is extremely highly regarded among Apple technicians. Other mac techs refer to him or call him when they're stumped with a particularly challenging mac repair problem. Mac Advantage has been around much longer than the Apple Stores, and Tam has now brought in former MacNetworks Service Manager, Shawn onto the Mac Advantage team. Together they have more experience, and have serviced more iMacs, MacBook Pros, MacPro Towers and Mac Minis than any other two or three mac repair labs in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County combined. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Thank you Mac Advantage! They recovered all of my data from a corrupted drive for far less money than other services charge, and they did it in less than 24 hours. Tam and his staff are professional, polite, and low-key. It's nice to find a trustworthy local business that has integrity. I highly recommend Mac Advantage for your computer needs.

As always, calm, professional, and timely service. Fan replaced, virus scan run, some little tweaks that I didn't even know needed doing, done, and recommendations for future maintenance given. Tam and Mac Advantage have been taking good care of my Macs for 10 years and never had any worries or complaints, just good work, well done, in the best of spirits.
