International Juried Exhibition October 25, 2019 – December 1, 2019 Opening Reception October 25 6-7:30pm Come to be transported in a different world with “Abstract”, the new exhibition at Sebastopol Center for the Arts from October 25 to December 1. A variety of mediums are reflected in this extraordinary collection of artwork that does not attempt to represent an accurate description of visual reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks of expression. Show was juried by Sonoma County Artist Warren Bellows. Concurrent in Gallery II is “Sheer Beauty” by Dotti Cichon, a collection of archival diaphanous photographs of flowers on translucent silk. In Gallery III, “The landscape in us” presents a video installation and paintings by Finnish artist Anitta Toivio.
