PROGRAM:

2:30 p.m. – VIP Reception

3:00 p.m. – Lecture: Why Your Genes Aren’t Your Destiny

At one time scientists believed our DNA held the key to preventing and reversing disease. But we now know that our environment—not our genes—is the primary driver of health and longevity. In fact, recent research suggests that our genes account for less than 15% of the risk of chronic disease.

In this talk, Chris Kresser will discuss the complex interplay between our genome, environment, and epigenome (how our genes express), and will explore the key diet, lifestyle, and behavioral factors that determine our “healthspan.”

4:00 p.m. – Q+A with Chris Kresser

Chris Kresser is the co-director of the California Center for Functional Medicine and founder of the Kresser Institute. He is one of the most respected clinicians and educators in the fields of functional medicine and ancestral health, and has trained over 1,000 practitioners and health coaches around the world.
