About

This training is for docents, especially those that interact with the public. The dynamics of our visitors are constantly changing and we ourselves need to change and learn to be able to serve the needs of our dynamic public. Our visitors are school children and youths, adults young of body, seniors young of spirit, new Americans, those both lacking and in possession of material wealth, and peoples of lands near and far. They come to visit and be inspired by the majestic landscapes of our parks. As State Parks Volunteers we want the sharing of our teachings, experiences and opportunities to be accessible to all. A large part of this is ensuring guests have a meaningful and respectful experience while visiting us. This training focuses on equipping you with perspective and tools to meet this goal. Meets: Nov. 30th, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Meets at Armstrong Volunteer Center/ Stewards Office in Armstrong Redwoods SNR
