Spring Break Nature Camp is a nature-based day camp open to young people aged 6 to12. Modeled after our award-winning In Our Own Backyard (IOOBY), spring break campers will learn and play while exploring the rich environment of Rancho Mark West. A 120-acre preserve with a pristine creek, pond, big red barn, redwood forest, and miles of trails, in northeast Santa Rosa off St. Helena Road, Rancho Mark West is about 25 minutes from downtown Santa Rosa. Spring Break Nature Camp is a place for children to explore the natural world through the lens of the four themes: Discovery and Exploration, Watersheds, Habitat, and Stewardship. Grounded in youth-centered discovery, campers will learn about the natural environment while having fun with age-appropriate activities, nature adventures and games. Campers will hike the trails and discover life under logs, in the creek, and at the pond. Scholarships available on an as need basis.
