Workplace CPR & First Aid Training
CPR/AED & First Aid Training - If you are employed or an employer this course is for you!
Meets Cal OSHA requirements for businesses. Earn a certification card through the American Heart Association, valid for 2 yrs.
Taught in (2) 3.5 hour segments (This 2 part course can be taken all at once or into two separate classes)
CPR/AED - Part 1: Monday, February 6, 6-9:30pm
Participants in the CPR course will gain knowledge and skills in Adult, child, and infant CPR & Choking maneuvers, training includes the use of an automated external defibrillator, or AED. Upon successful completion of the course the participant will be presented with a CPR card, valid for two years, through the American Heart Association; the gold standard or CPR and First Aid training.
First Aid - Part 2: Tuesday, February 7, 6-9:30pm
The second half of the course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to assist injured victims in simple first aid with the goal of preventing the injury from worsening, and potentially becoming life threatening. Topics will include care of sprains, strains, abrasions, cuts, puncture wounds, burns, head injuries, fractures, poisoning, medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, asthma; enviormental injuries such as snake bites, spider bites, and poison oak reaction.
