Burbank Gardens Triangle Park Improvements Begin this Spring

After over a year of negotiations with the City, volunteer work on the park (located at the corners of Oak, Maple and Hendley) will begin this Spring.
As you recall, we formed a committee in Fall of 2009 to make improvements to the triangular strip of land at the southeast entrance to our neighborhood. Last Spring, the City put the piece up for sale with two other small pieces in the neighborhood to accommodate the Mural.
Purchase or lease of the property by he BGNA were considered to stop the sale and keep the park free for us to improve with paths, plantings and benches, but insurance liability precluded those options.
Now, the City has agreed to allow us to Adopt-A-Greenspace with the condition that property will not ever be sold. Clean-up will begin when the rains stop. To join the committee, contact Bob Ruiz at:
