This Sunday is the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
10 years ago I felt shocked, confused, and helpless- what could I do to help during this terrible event, being all the way in California?
All complicated politics aside, I know what I can do now, 10 years later:
I can plant trees. A lot of them. I can plant trees for the dead and trees for the living, trees to honor courage and trees to honor memory, trees to celebrate healing and trees to celebrate hope.
