What is your fondest memory of living in Sonoma County?

Having grown up in Sonoma County, I have a ton of fond memories of spending time with friends and family here, but one of my most memorable Sonoma County experiences happened a few months ago while surfing at Goat Rock. While sitting in the ocean waiting for the next set of waves, a gray whale calf breached about twenty feet away from me. It stayed there for about 10 minutes until it swam away...directly beneath me and down only about four feet deep...silent and immense - i will never forget the feeling.

Describe what you experience as the greatest treasure of Sonoma County.

I believe that Sonoma County's greatest treasure is its environment—biodiversity and soil.

What for you defines 'quality of life'?

Quality of life for me comes from having a healthy balance of time that leads to choice and freedom.

What gets you really excited about your business?

I love the idea of giving honest value in an age when it is not always easy to come by (especially in business).

Thinking about your business, what keeps you up at night?

Nothing (thankfully).

If you could have one wish come true for Sonoma County, what would it be?

I would like to see a much greater emphasis on green technologies and environmental stewardship.

What is your favorite quote or motto?

Carpe diem!

What or who do you most admire in Sonoma County?

Bill Kortum, Shirley Zane, and that guy who rides his bike to work on hwy 116 every day rain or shine!

What brought you to Sonoma County?

I'm a native of Sonoma County.
