KRCB's Cathy Slack Honored by City of Rohnert Park

On August 24th, 2010, the City of Rohnert Park, CA, gave an award of recognition for Outstanding Community Service to KRCB Public Media employee and Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce member Cathy Slack.

The proclamation was given in honor of Ms. Slack’s work to create the successful Rohnert Park Farmers’ Market and the music concert series that accompanied the evenings at the Farmers’ Market.  Musical groups affiliated with KRCB FM Radio 91 were invited to perform during the summer series.

Cathy has worked at KRCB since November 2009 and has a strong background in local radio and marketing, and a passion for working in her community with non-profits. Cathy is a proud 4th generation Santa Rosa/Sonoma County resident. She currently can be heard singing Rock, Country and Blues around the North Bay with 2 bands, The Poyntlyss Sistars and Stage Fright.

The City of Rohnert Park Proclamation is given in recognition of those who have selflessly involved themselves in the community and spearheaded positive changes; and as the proclamation reads, Cathy Slack stands out as such an individual in Rohnert Park.
