Here's a reminder of why GoLocal Membership is important to you:

Many people in Sonoma County have expressed a preference for shopping with locally owned businesses and to buy locally made goods when possible.  Sonoma County ain't number one in strength of independent retail market share for nothing.

It's not possible for most people to know more than a few businesses that meet their preference criteria.  They're busy like you and me.  They don't have time to figure out which businesses are local or not.

You have to brand your business as being local in addition to your other distinctions.

* Use the GoLocal shared brand in every thing you do for marketing.  GoLocal brand has abundant awareness throughout Sonoma County as meaning "This is local".  GoLocal has legitimacy and credibility too.  People don't have to think, they see the symbol and simple message and know you're local; really local.

* GoLocal provides branding resources that you use in marketing and we also push out the message to the general public, "Find certified local businesses here"; "Look for this symbol to identify local businesses"; "Buying Local is good for the economy and local jobs", etc.  This helps people discover your business.

* Rewards Card is the perfect tool to engage people in buying local and helps them save money.  It measures our success.  It's innovative, and people like that.
