Petaluma Movies in the Park wrapped up the books on their 2011 season, and there's a number of reasons to be thankful for this incredible community-based program:
- Over 15,000 guests attended the series
- $5,000+ in cash was donated back to local Petaluma youth and school programs from the raffle program
- Sponsorship of Petaluma COTS family homeless shelter with transportation, 100+ free meals and entertainment
- All children's activities & snacks sponsored this year were completely free, including bounce houses, face painting, games & prizes, cake, ice cream, etc.
- Attendance doubled from 2010 and several local sponsors allowed the program to break even in its second year, while keeping the entire program free to the public.
- The biggest benefit to local business is the number of sponsors that reported increased sales directly from our local advertising. Several sponsors have already committed to 2012 before the end of this season. Between online and print marketing, an estimated 500,000+ marketing impressions were delivered to Petaluma residents for the sponsors.
