Graton Ridge Cellars is proud to announce our upcoming second annual Pink Party celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The party will be held "open house" style during their normal business hours of 10am to 4:30pm on Saturday October 23 and held at the Graton Ridge tasting room. The party features wine tasting and appetizers for $5 per person and those purchasing wine will get a pink boa!

"Whether people can attend or not, we are encouraging everyone to send us the name and/or photos of loved ones affected by breast cancer for our 'Pretty in Pink' Wall of Fame", remarked Sue Bonzell, the General Manager at the winery.

Graton Ridge Cellars has partnered with Sutter North Bay Women¹s Health Center in Santa Rosa to donate a portion of their wine sales throughout the year including this day in which they will also offer discounts on a few select wines. Since they began the partnership in August 2009, Graton Ridge Cellars has donated more than $3600 to the Santa Rosa breast care facility.

According to the American Cancer Society, about 1.3 million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide and about 465,000 will die from the disease.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States. The highest concentration of breast cancer in the U.S. is found in the San Francisco Bay Area. This year, nearly 400 Sonoma County women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and about 85 women will lose their lives to it.

About Graton Ridge Cellars: Located three miles outside of Sebastopol on Gravenstein Highway North, Graton Ridge Cellars is owned and operated by the Paul family. Since the 1940s, the family has offered the bounty of Sonoma County to visitors and locals alike, first with a roadside fruit stand and now with a winery and tasting room. Three generations of the Paul family continue the tradition of excellence in farming and viticulture by growing premium wine grapes in Sonoma County. The tasting room is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00am-4:30pm.
