While a prep at Rancho Cotate High School, Corey Nelson set the still-standing Empire Record in the 400m, clocking 46.89. Years later, as a professional he clocked a scintillating 45.00 in Mexico City. Here he is after one of the first races of his comeback career, still winning medals!

In addition to being a local cross country coach, Nate Koch (aka Coach Koch) is the club president for the Empire Runners Club of Sonoma County. Here Coach Koch represents Heart and Sole at the first ever Annadel Half Marathon!

2009 Santa Rosa HS grad Rory McLeod winning his third straight Kenwood Footrace 3k! The next time Rory suited up in his Heart and Sole gear? A win at the Windsor Green Half Marathon. Way to go Rory!

Danny Aldridge. What needs be said? One of the two co-owners of Heart and Sole Santa Rosa, Danny is a former Redwood Empire prep all-star. He holds the still-standing HS Empire Record at 800m, has two NCAA DII national championship titles in the 1,500m, was a former professional runner for Nike's Athletics West, has a sub-4 minute mile on his resume, and is part of the American Recordholding 4xmile an 4x1,500m relay teams. O, and he's been a local coach for years, coaching national and state caliber teams. Danny Aldridge

Our whole point is that we are a store by local runners for locals. So we, of course, have tons of local singlets hanging from our ceiling! Our goal is to have every local middle and high school (we are almost there!) as well as any other singlets from schools where our alumni have run.
