GO LOCAL Category Logos Terms and Conditions for Use

Terms and conditions for use of the GO LOCAL logos for which Sonoma County GO LOCAL Cooperative owns trademarks:

1.  GO LOCAL Cooperative grants permission to GO LOCAL members to use GO LOCAL logos, with the exceptions of Made Local and Bank Local (see terms below), for reproduction in promotional and advertising materials exclusively for a member business in good standing, with the following terms and conditions.  Each logo consists of a name for the category, like Eat Local; the GO LOCAL web URL golocal.coop; a specific color background; a font size, color and style; and a round shape. These elements may not be modified.  The text element "Sonoma County" may be modified upon request by a business member, and permission from GO LOCAL, to represent another geographic location within Sonoma County, like "Santa Rosa", and must maintain the same font size, color and style as "Sonoma County" as shown in the original.

2.  GO LOCAL Cooperative reserves the right to determine appropriate and inappropriate use of the logos, and may at its discretion demand that inappropriate use be immediately discontinued.

3.  GO LOCAL restricts the use of Bank Local and Made Local to the terms and conditions specifically stated in contractual agreements between GO LOCAL and a member.  Members must first enter into such campaign agreements with GO LOCAL prior to any use or reproduction of Bank Local and Made Local logos. It has come to our attention from a number of public inquiries that there is confusion about the relationship between GO LOCAL, its Made Local program, which includes Made Local Magazine and the branding program inside many grocery stores, and the Made Local Marketplace. Trademark rights in the GO LOCAL Logos are owned by GO LOCAL, which grants to Made Local Marketplace the right to use the MADE LOCAL Mark in connection with the Made Local Marketplace only as a condition of a lawsuit settlement between Local Works and Sonoma County GO LOCAL.
