Magnolia Project connects the classroom to the community through our 7th-12th grade Career Exploration and Apprenticeship pathways, fully embedded into the school day. Our immersive, community-based pathways center on student agency, passions, and leadership. Our students are the dreamers, doers, and decision-makers in their CTE experience.

At Magnolia Project, we believe that every student deserves access to compelling, relevant learning experiences so they are ready to pursue their Meaningful Next Phase of life upon high school graduation.

Through our exploratory Career Explorations for 7th-10th graders or immersive, project-based Apprenticeships for 11th-12th graders, students will begin to define their Meaningful Next Phase and develop the skills they need to achieve their goals.

**Apprenticeship at Corazon Healdsburg** : Brittany M. (left), and Fatima R. (right), two 12th-grade students from Geyserville New Tech Academy, and their mentor Cristal Lopez (middle), at Corazon Healdsburg. Brittany and Fatima completed a two-week, full-time 60-hour internship at Corazon Healdsburg, where they worked on a variety of different projects to serve Spanish-speaking families.

**Guerneville Fire Department Explorations** : Two Guerneville middle school students, Gio and Jeremiah, laugh during their externship at the Russian River Fire Department. Gio and Jeremiah spent three full days working alongside the firefighters in Guerneville and had the opportunity to try on all of their equipment.

**Guerneville Fire Department Exploration** : Jeremiah G., a 7th-grade student at Guerneville School, learns to use a fire hose during his 3-day externship at the Russian River Fire Department. Jeremiah did his externship at the Russian River Fire Department, where he spent 20 hours over the course of 3 school days, learning about what a career as a firefighter entails.

**Lux Metals Inc. Intern** : David (left), a 12th-grade student at Northwest Prep Charter School, works with his internship mentor at Lux Metals Inc. in Santa Rosa. David completed a two-week, 30-hour internship where he learned how to weld.
