Preston Vineyards, Inc.

Preston of Dry Creek is an organic farm and winery located in Dry Creek Valley near the historic farm town of Healdsburg, California. Founded in the 1970s by the eponymous Preston family, the nature of the business has changed over time from a conventional estate winery to a diversified farm, counting wine as one of many home-grown and hand-made food products. The Prestons include in their repertoire of concerns and commitments food, environmentalism, and community activism. Traditional in values, postmodern in practice, the Preston family, staff, farm and winery offer a timeless experience for the visitor and customer.

The Preston Farm, Vineyards and Winery are located at the confluence of Dry Creek and its tributary Pena Creek, approximately 10 miles northwest of Healdsburg in the Russian River watershed. The land is informed by the extreme erodibility of the terrain, with the soil types ranging from shallow, shaley clay to deep rich loam to stoney river wash. This diversity of growing conditions allows the Prestons to grow a wide variety of crops and grape types.
