GO LOCAL Open House at Windsor Cutlery

Windsor Cutlery is opening its doors to the GO LOCAL community for an after-work open house with hors d'oeuvres and beverages.

All GO LOCAL members, interested folks and fellow Windsor businesses are welcome to come by!

And...bring your knives! 2 free knife sharpenings per person at the mixer, for knives less than 6" in blade length (a $12 value). Knives can be picked up freshly sharpened 3 days later.

Windsor Cutlery is located on the Windsor Town Green, providing knives and knife services - fishing knives, kitchen knives, sharpening and much more. Windsor Cutlery caters to professionals such as line cooks, sous chefs, fire, police, EMT, survivalists, preppers and parents in the kitchen too!

Owner Matthew Waltenspiel, with the help of his sister Kathleen, runs the business. They're third generation local business owners here in Sonoma County, starting with Windsor Fuel in 1933 by their grandfather Ed and his brother. With a family background in business, Matthew knew the possibilities were endless when it was time to open his first business. Partnering with his father in 2010, they took advantage of Matthew's skills and knowledge of knives and the proper usages and maintenance it takes to care for knives that can often become family heirlooms, passed down from generations to generation. That's when they decided to open in the Windsor Town Green.

Their services and products include: sharpening of cutlery, fishing knives, everyday pocket knives, scissors, kitchen shears, and pruning shears and a full range of kitchen cutlery and tools. Caters, chefs and first responders are welcome to place special orders.

Matthew notes, “We’re hosting a GO LOCAL mixer because we want to properly introduce ourselves to the GO LOCAL Co-Op and to let all of our neighbors and customers know we are here. We look forward to help answer any questions our local friends and neighbors have, and provide them with great customer service and quality sharpening and education about their culinary and cutlery needs. We will be offering 2 free knife sharpenings per customer on knives less than 6" in blade length (a $12 value) at the mixer, knives to be picked up 3 days later.”
