Business Savvy Workshop - a GoLocal member offering for the local business community

GoLocal Member Net101 will present the first of a series of three Business Savvy Workshops this fall.

Learn how to be found by mobile users looking for your products and services right now. This fast-growing group of consumers are ready to buy and are relatively inexpensive to reach - compared to traditional advertising.  A few simple steps will put you in front of your competitors and ready to profit from the biggest change in buying behavior in this century.

More than half of all local business searches are done from a smartphone, yet more that 85% of small local businesses do not have a website optimized for viewing on a mobile phone.  Each customer that searches for your products and services on their smartphone - and lands on a website that requires pinching and scrolling to get to a phone number, a map or even basic information about your business - is a customer probably lost forever.

This workshop will cover:

  • the basics of good mobile website design
  • how to be found in a “local” search on Google
  • how to use the constant presence of smartphones in more and more people’s lives to increase customer communication and retention.

All attendees will receive presentation notes, a checklist for “mobilizing” their marketing, resource list and be entered in a drawing for a free mobile website for their business.
