Merith Weisman has been an active member of the Sonoma County community since moving to the Bay Area from the East Coast in 2007. In her 16-year role as Director of the Center for Community Engagement at Sonoma State University, she learned about and grew to admire the work of GO LOCAL. Merith is excited to bring her experience in building and deepening collaborative partnerships for the common good to the crucial work of supporting a vibrant local economy for Sonoma County.

The opportunity to learn from and get to know the members, dive into new challenges, and expand my skills with such an innovative organization feels invigorating.

“I can’t wait to work alongside a team that shares my enthusiasm for building the Sonoma County local economy, creative problem-solving, and contributing to these projects that all align with my passions. The prospect of making a tangible impact and growing professionally is incredibly motivating.
